CESAR Consultants have a strong commitment to the conservation of Australia's unique fauna. Anthropogenic activities, introduced predators, environmental catastrophes, and climate change have and continue to impact greatly on Australian wildlife often leading to habitat fragmentation, population isolation, and in some cases, extinction. Understanding and monitoring the processes that lead to population fragmentation are critical for implementing successful management strategies. We undertake both platypus research/monitoring and conservation genetic projects on Australian wildlife in collaboration with government, industry and private sector clients. Our staff have over 15 years of research experience in these areas and are considered experts at both national and international levels.
